Shipping
All orders ship from my studio in Michigan. Here's what to expect after you order:
Carrier will be USPS First Class Mail, Priority Mail, FedEx, or UPS depending on your location and order size. You'll receive a tracking number by email once your order ships.
Domestic transit time: 3–5 days after shipping
Canada: 7–14 business days after shipping. Duties, taxes, and customs fees are the buyer's responsibility.
International outside Canada: Not available at this time. Email hello@forgewelloutdoor.com to be added to the notify list.
Free shipping on orders over $75 — applied automatically at checkout.
Returns & Exchanges
Every Forgewell piece is made by hand in my Michigan studio. I stand behind what I make. If something isn't right, I want to make it right.
The Short Version
- Returns and exchanges accepted within 30 days of delivery
- Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with tags attached
- First fit exchange per order is free — I cover return shipping on that first swap
- Defective or incorrect items — I cover return shipping, always
- All other returns — buyer covers return shipping
- Custom sized items — final sale unless defective or incorrect
- Sale and clearance items — final sale, no returns or exchanges
What's your return window?
Returns and exchanges accepted within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with tags attached.
How do fit exchanges work?
Fit is the most common reason for an exchange — and I expect it. Sizing handmade technical apparel is genuinely tricky, and getting it right matters more to me than the hassle of a swap.
Every order includes one free fit exchange. I'll cover the return shipping label on that first swap. Email hello@forgewelloutdoor.com within 30 days of delivery and include the following so I can process it quickly:
Subject line: Exchange — Order #[your order number]
- Your order number
- The item you're exchanging
- The size or fit you want to swap to
- Your shipping address
I'll check stock and respond within 1–2 business days. If your size isn't currently available, I'll add you to the priority list for the next batch and notify you as soon as it's ready.
Second exchanges on the same order are accepted within the 30-day window — return shipping is the buyer's responsibility from that point.
How do I get a refund?
Returns accepted within 30 days of delivery. Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with tags attached.
Email hello@forgewelloutdoor.com within 30 days and include:
Subject line: Return — Order #[your order number]
- Your order number
- The item you're returning
- Reason for return
- Refund preference: original payment method or store credit
Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days of receiving your return. Original shipping costs are non-refundable. Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility.
Returns outside the 30-day window will not be accepted or refunded.
What if my item arrived damaged or wrong?
If your order arrived damaged, with a construction defect, or isn't what you ordered, email hello@forgewelloutdoor.com within 30 days of delivery and include:
Subject line: Defect/Wrong Item — Order #[your order number]
- Your order number
- A photo of the issue or incorrect item
- What you'd prefer: replacement, repair, or refund
I'll cover return shipping and make it right. No hoops.
Returns outside of the 30-day period will not be accepted or refunded. Any returns outside of the 30-day period due to a manufacturing defect will be eligible for repair or replacement at Forgewell's discretion. Reach out and I'll assess it — if it's a construction issue, I'll do what I can.
Defects from normal trail wear, modifications made by the customer, or damage from improper care are not covered.
Do you offer repairs?
If a seam fails or something goes wrong with the construction, reach out even if you're outside the return window. Forgewell gear is built to last and I stand behind that.
Repairs due to normal wear, trail abuse, or customer modifications aren't covered under any guarantee — but I'm always happy to talk through options.
What about custom sized items?
Custom orders are final sale unless the item arrives defective or incorrect. This is disclosed at checkout. If you receive a custom item with a construction defect, the same defect process above applies.
Sale & Clearance Items
Sale and clearance items are final sale. No returns or exchanges.
How to Start Any Return or Exchange
Email hello@forgewelloutdoor.com with your order number, the item, and your reason. Use the subject line formats above — it helps me find your order fast and gets you a response sooner.
I respond within 1–2 business days with next steps.
Ship your return in original packaging if possible. Once I receive it, refunds and exchange shipments are processed within 5–7 business days.
